About MattMatt is a former teacher who holds a PhD in education. As well as his own albums, one of which received a Juno nomination, he has recorded over 80 French songs for different publishing companies. He has toured throughout Canada and the United States, playing for close to a million children. His energetic music appeals to a wide range of ages, from six to fourteen. |  |
Matt’s music beyond the classroomMatt Maxwell, Ph.D., has written and performed about 200 songs in French for young audiences, producing material for a variety of large publishers as well as AIM Language Learning. Matt has also written a large of number of songs for general audiences including a 26-song collection for a rock musical he composed. This album, which tells the story of a young Native singer/songwriter, features the vocal talents of seven different studio singers, including two Aboriginal Vocalist of the Year award-winners.
